Hi! My name is Silas. I was 5 years old when I discovered Um Land inside of me, 6 years old when I wrote Um Land the book, and today I am 7. 

I am home schooled, which is kind of a strange term since I am rarely at home and I am not doing traditional school. You see, my parents are kind of unconventional. They challenge my 3 brothers and sisters and me to do what we love - to maximize those moments every day that make "my eyes light up" and to minimize those moments that make "my eyes glaze over".

I am privileged to wake up every morning with the mission to bring Um Land to as many people as possible. Finding Um Land freed me from a big, scary problem that was completely running my life and it is my passion to help other people discover their Um Land.

Um Land is that moment. That feeling. That place. That mood. That vibe.

Um Land is your happy place.  Your Shangri-la. Your Zen.  Your Eden.

Um Land is a yoga practice. A favorite book. A margarita on the beach.

I had a really-big, sneaky-starry problem that was completely ruining my life.

Then I found Um Land.

My Um Land is capturing bugs. My 4 year old sister Story's Um Land is playing babies is her room. My 9 year old brother Steele's Um Land is shredding on any time of board. My 11 year old sister Sienna's Um Land is an inversion during yoga. My mom and dad's Um Land is four kids in bed, a bottle of wine and some good.
